  1. Cecil Says:

heard that Brothers show last night was something else – Petty and Mike Campbell guested on Highway 61, Bruce Willis on Statesboro and then a Southbound encore. John McLain has some chops.

    was RG in the house?

  2. rollogrady Says:

    Yo Cecil:

I missed the show. I even heard the Petty rumor. Bummer. I would rather Bruce observe than participate. Have you seen any good shows lately?

  3. Cecil Says:

Bruce played with them at the Beacon as well, and it was no celebrity photo op. He can really play, and sounded great on Smokestack Lightning.

I saw the Brothers in Portland last weekend, James McMurtry about three weeks before, and Cale in Eugene back in early April. Catching Indecision in Charleston on Saturday, but don’t have plans for any other music until ACL (possibly) and Pearl Jam tour (definitely)

Derek Trucks is the finest musician I’ve ever seen. If you have the means, go bask in his genius. My friend JR went last night and is now chomping at the bit for round 2.

  4. rollogrady Says:

Indecision should be a blast. I’m going to be @ ACL. I’m looking into Allman tickets for tonight. Heading to The Kills this Friday and King Khan next Friday & Saturday. Hope you’re well. Check out The Wooden Birds album.
