He can really play, and sounded great on Smokestack Lightning. I saw the Brothers in Portland last weekend, James McMurtry about three weeks before, and Cale in Eugene back in early April. Catching Indecision in Charleston on Saturday, but don't have plans for any other music until ACL (possibly) and Pearl Jam tour (definitely) Derek Trucks is the finest musician I've ever seen.
