Tyler Ramsey // A Long Dream

Tyler Ramsey // A Long Dream

The Neil Young influenced “Long Dream” is from singer-songwriter Tyler Ramsey’s debut album, A Long Dream About Swimming Across the Sea (Released January 2007 on Echo Mountain Records). While Ramsey was recording his album, he caught the eye of Band Of Horses frontman Ben Bridwell, who was recording his own album [Cease To Begin] in the same studio.

Those guys (Band of Horses) were hanging out one night and we were drinking tequila at this little bar and they asked me to open up for their tour as a the solo act,” Ramsey says. The next night, he [Ramsey] offered to stand in as the band’s guitarist when their guitarist suddenly left. After that show, the band asked him to be the permanent replacement. “It happened that quickly; in like two nights,” he says.

*I highly recommend downloading Tyler’s album, especially his song “Ships”.
