The Rolling Stones // Hound Dog (Elvis)

This may sound like blasphemy, but I think Elvis is overrated. I’ve never cared for his music
or Graceland. I just don’t understand the big fuss over “The King”.

What I do like is The Stones cover of “Hound Dog” from a show in Memphis. It’s a hard rockin’ almost punk version of the song. Great Setlist from “Some Girls” tour (see below).

Memphis, TN, 6/28/1978

Setlist: Let It Rock/All Down The Line/Honky Tonk Women/Star Star/When The Whip Comes Down/Lies/Miss You/Beast Of Burden/Shattered/Respectable/Just My Imagination/Far Away Eyes/Love In Vain/Tumbling Dice/Happy/Hound Dog/Sweet Little Sixteen/Brown Sugar/Jumpin’ Jack Flash

Very simple. And many famous entertainers have said it all to well “NO ELVIS= NO ROCK & ROLL”
