For whatever reason I sometimes forget how great the Police were back in the day. “De Do Do Do, De Da Da Da” was the first record I owned, a 45 RPM single (frightening). They didn’t release a bad album; Outlandos d’Amour, Reggatta de Blanc, Zenyattà Mondatta, Ghost in the Machine and Synchronicity are all fantastic.

I had no desire to see their recent reunion tour when they came to town; I believe they played at the The Staples Center.The only reunion tour worth the hype is Led Zeppelin, which I think will happen in 2009. Hopefully they will play in smaller venues, but that defeats the purpose of raking in $2 million a night.
