The Onion // Lil Wayne, Hit The Curb

Who says the music industry (CD Business) is dead? Back in June Lil Wayne’s album “Tha Carter III” sold over a million copies. He became the first artist since 50 Cent in 2005 to sell more than 1 million copies of an album in a single week. I can’t say that I really care for it, but it did remind me of an article I read a couple years ago in The Onion.

Scarface // No Tears (Office Space)

Scarface // No Tears (Office Space)

I’ve got my pistol point cocked
Ready to lay shots non-stop until I see your monkey ass drop
And let your homies know who done it
Cause when it comes to this gangsta shit you mother fuckers know who run it
So when you put this mother fucker to the test
You have to realize somethin’ nigga your fuckin’ with the very best

Office Space
is one of my all-time favorite movies. Michael Bolton’s (David Herman) pre-work rap version of Scarface’s “No Tears” is priceless. He’s a badass rapper until the flower guy approaches his car; then he turns into a scared white guy heading to his 9-5 job at Innotek. Damn it feels good to be a gangsta.
