Rollo & Grady // Highly Recommended
I’m jumping on the poseur bandwagon and I’m not afraid to admit it. TV On The Radio’s new album Dear Science out 9/23 (pre-order) could possibly save this shitty year in music. TVOTR has always puzzled me. I could hear their greatness, but I could never completely get into them. I’ve heard 6 of the new songs and I’m blown away. Each song has its own unique sound. There are elements of Afro-Funk, Sonic Disco, Electronica, infused with hardcore bass, tribal drums and pop melodies. I think what appeals to me the most is that they are finally able to use these sounds in a coherent way. It’s hard to explain in words. You need to hear it to experience the brilliance. It may change any preconceived notions you have about TVOTR. Dear Science will be the album of the year.
