Rollo & Grady // Saturday Absinthe Mix

I haven’t seen Guy Ritchie’s new movie RocknRolla yet. The film received mixed reviews and then the A-Rod divorce scandal hit. However, the soundtrack is phenomenal. The Clash, The Subways, The Beat, The Hives, The Sonics, 20-20’s, War and Lou Reed are some of the artists that contribute tracks. It’s by far his heaviest soundtrack to date.

Yes, the RocknRolla album is pretty cool. It’s retro and I kinda liked that. “I’m a Man” by Black Strobe is my favorite off of the album. Ohhh, and OzzyOutrage must be referring to the song “Bank Robber” by the Clash.

Try the “DFA” remix of the LeTigre song. That’s my fav.

Absynthe tastes like yucky licorice ouzo though.

Hey Socks. Was the movie good? I have the DFA mix, it’s excellent.

I liked the movie. I also think the soundtrack helped. But, ‘to each their own’.

With that being said, just saw a new independent movie I highly recommend. “Slumdog Millionaire”. No real soundtrack(occasional M.I.A. remixes), but really powerful…and disturbing.

That’s the Danny Boyle movie, right? I haven’t been to a movie since “No Country For Old Men”. I will try to check it out.

Love the Kids song from MGMT. They’ve grown on me a lot.

Yeah, I’ve come around to really enjoying their album.
