No Animal Collective? Good William Elliott Whitmore pick. I haven’t heard Neko’s album yet, but I enjoyed the song you posted.

“Keep it Hid” is better than “Attack & Release”. I’m not a fan of Andrew Bird or M. Ward’s albums. Laura Gibson is finally on the radar. The Heartless Bastards rock. Antony And The Johnsons need to be added to the list.

    Peace

    Dan Auerbach. Mos def.

  5. Hanan Says:

Franz Ferdinand! but I like your list too. also, I loove that you included Mr Doherty when the album hasn’t been released yet =)

  6. CD Says:

As long as Dan is added, it’s a good list.

Helluva show he put on last night.

  7. rollogrady Says:

That’s good to hear. I have to wait a couple more weeks.

My hosting company received a DMCA letter to remove Doherty demos that have been floating on the net for 5 years.

  9. CD Says:

OK, even w/ a drunk brother making me miss the very end of Dan’s show, it was one of the best shows i’ve seen in months (and i saw the Keys three weeks ago).

Go, go, go to see Dan. Buy your tickets now. Do not wait.

  10. Stranger Jay Says:

Nice list. Haven’t heard the new Doherty, but he’s never done anything for me anyway.

I’d add in Phosphorescent’s surprisingly good “To Willie” tribute, AC Newman’s “Get Guilty” and Jason Isbell’s self titled. If you’re including compilations, the “Dark Was the Night” comp is #1 with a bullet.

  11. Grats Says:

The Sunday Drivers – The End of Maiden Trip
