Sam Beam Of Iron And Wine
I’m back home from my trip to Austin. The city definitely lives up to it’s billing as The Live Music Capital of the World. I caught some excellent shows while I was in town;
Band Of Horses @ The Parish, The Black Keys @ Stubb’s, Antibalas, Black Joe Lewis, Fleet Foxes and Drive-By Truckers at ACL Festival.
I also met several artists that I respect and admire; Danger Mouse (Gnarls Barkley), Shooter Jennings, Tyler Ramesy (Band Of Horses), Sam Beam (Iron And Wine), Black Joe Lewis, and Patrick Carney (The Black Keys). I asked Danger Mouse if he planned on producing the new Gorillaz album, he replied “I love The Gorillaz.” I guess we will have to wait and see.
**I enjoyed the Texas BBQ, but Los Angeles has better Mexican food than Austin.
