New Album Releases For Tuesday (2/24/2009)
Laura Gibson

I’m in love with Laura Gibson’s new album Beasts of Seasons. I enjoy it more and more with each listen. The Black Lips continue to roll with 200 Million Thousand. I don’t know much about Laura Barrett, but I’m digging her.

War Child Heroes benefit album contain 15 exclusive tracks from music’s most heralded legends (See Below). WCH works with children affected by war in Iraq, Afghanistan, Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda, who have been hit hardest by the joint forces of poverty, conflict and social exclusion. Support the cause.

Some of WCH’s notable songs: Elbow’s cover of U2’s Running To Stand Still is fantastic. TV On The Radio – Heroes (David Bowie), Beck – Leopard-Skin Pill-Box Hat (Bob Dylan) and Peaches – Search And Destroy (Iggy Pop) to name a few.
