I love the The Killer Meters, but their Myspace page is an eye sore. That being said, there isn’t another band out there that can compete with them in The Meters covers space. The London based band were formed in 2004 by Nick, Kerim, Virgil and Henry who were at first simply looking to enjoy the sheer funk and groove of New Orleans finest, The Meters. When asked by Scenario Records to produce an album in tribute to these Funkmasters, the original foursome thought why not, “if we could introduce one more person to the sound of The Meters then it was a worthy project”.
