Gorillaz // New Album
According to NME, Blur’s Damon Albarn and animator Jamie Hewlett are set to begin work on a new Gorillaz album. The pair also revealed that the release may see a new visual look for the animated band. This comes as a surprise as Damon Albarn stated that there would be no more Gorillaz albums. The forthcoming third album will be the follow-up to 2005’s Demon Days and 2001’s self-titled album.
Update: British rapper, and frequent Africa Express collaborator Kano, has spoken to the UK’s Daily Star about the upcoming Gorillaz album. According to the musician, the album will be completed before the Blur reunion shows. Kano appears on a few of the new tracks.
