The Funk Aid for Africa compilation is a charity project to help raise awareness and funds for African children affected by the AIDS crisis. The album contains funk, soul, and Latin tunes created by DJ OBaH – featuring songs by twenty different artists including Ticklah, Ursula Rucker, King Britt, Chico Mann and J Boogie’s Dubtronic Science. 100% of the proceeds go to aid the construction of a ‘green’ sports facility at NextAid’s environmental community center in South Africa.

On Friday, October 16th Funk Aid for Africa’s record release party is being held at The Dakota Lounge (formerly Temple Bar) featuring sets by Glenn Red, Jeremy Sole, J-Boogie, DJ OBaH, and live performances by Simple Citizens and Pleasuremaker.
