Jazz bassist Christian McBride is known for his formidable technique and his restless sense of experimentation. McBride has played with the likes of Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock, Wynton Marsalis and Questlove to name a few.

Live at Tonic is recorded over two nights at the legendary New York City nightclub. McBride is playing with an all-star backing band and is joined by Eric Krasno (guitarist) of Soulive, Charlie Hunter (guitar), Jenny Scheinman (violin), Jason Moran (keyboards), DJ Logic (turntables) and Scratch (background vocals).
