Angus & Julia Stone, Xavier Rudd and now Jez Mead are artists from Down Under that are producing some beautiful music. Mead is originally from Perth, Western Australia, he now calls Byron Bay home (Rudd is also from BB). Jez has been at it for several years supporting fellow Aussie bands – The Waifs, Midnight Oil and John Butler Trio. He’s also collaborated with Julia Stone and has recently started up his own label, Belly Up Records through EMI Music. He’s releasing a 5-song EP in early September.
