Amp Fiddler // Hey Joe

Amp Fiddler // Hey Joe
Amp Fiddler

Amp has an impressive resume. He was part of George Clinton’s Parliament and Funkadelic groups from 1985 until 1996. He released his first solo album, Waltz Of A Fly Ghetto, in 2004.

In the picture, Amp kinda looks like Kobe Bryant on open mic night at a jazz club. One thing for sure, he’s got game like the Black Mamba. His bluesy-rock cover of the Jimi Hendrix’s classic “Hey Joe” is solid.

MMW recorded “Hey Joe” during their 9 night stretch at Tonic (capacity-180), located on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. They played 3/16 through 3/20/99 and resumed 3/23 to 3/26/99. I was fortunate enough to attend four of the nine shows. Their mellow jazz version of “Hey Joe” is fantastic.
